LOCATION - Lat 32°30'01", long 88°02'15" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.25, T.18 N., R.1 W., Sumter County, AL, Hydrologic Unit 03160202,
REVISIONS HISTORY - Land-surface datum was updated to 183.79 ft NAVD88 on March 28, 2024, as determined by a GNSS survey by USGS personnel in February 2024.  Land-surface datum was previously published as 180.00 ft NAVD88 from a topographic map. Discrete water-level measurements prior to March 28, 2024, are referenced to the original datum.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 1,160 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 20 ft, bottom of last opening 845 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 180 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: INSPECTION PLUG, 0 ft above land-surface datum, Jan. 1, 1963 to present; pointer at top of pipe, 1.2 ft above land-surface datum, Feb. 4, 2019 to present.

Land-surface datum (LSD) is 183.79 ft above NAVD of 1988, (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000), GEOID18).  Measuring point: Metal Pointer hanging over well, 1.20 ft above LSD.

Prior to March 28, 2024, the LSD was 180.00 ft above NAVD of 1988.

Prior to January 01,1963, the MP was the “Inspection Plug” at 0.0 ft above LSD.

PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1963 to May 1985 (periodic only), Nov 2007 to Dec 2008, Mar 2017 to current year.
REMARKS - Record considered good. National Groundwater Monitoring Network. In Eutaw Formation of Cretaceous age.
