LOCATION - Lat 34°08'41.0", long 90°13'46.9" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 WE 1/4 sec.078, T.26 N., R.1 E., Quitman County, MS, Hydrologic Unit is unknown,

*NW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.07* Choctaw Meridian, County Code 119, at Island Lake road bridge, about 6 miles WSW of Hwy 322 at Crowder, MS (15 miles east of Clarksdale) or 1/2 mile ESE of Allen, ~35 miles upstream of mouth at confluence with the Yazoo River, near Greenwood, MS.

GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth undefined. Upper casing diameter undefined; top of first opening undefined, bottom of last opening undefined. Well was drilled with a PVC casting to a depth of unknown feet below land surface (LSD datum = 143.83).  Bottom of screen is unknown feet below land surface.  MP is 3.23 feet above ground.

PERIOD OF RECORD - Sep 28, 2016 to Jul 02, 2018
GAGE - A 3 by 3 by 2-foot Hoffman fiberglass shelter fixed to a wooden platform is located on upstream left bank just upstream of 07280010, Tallahatchie River near Allen, Mississippi near bridge abutment.  A KPSI submersible pressure transducer connected the gage to the well.  A Design Analysis plus DCP was connected to a KPSI submersible pressure transducer, set to hour-scan interval, housed at the Hoffman gage house shelter platform.  Equipment was pulled on July 02, 2018.
COOPERATION - This well is maintained in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District (Funding lapsed in March of 2018) as part of the Lower Mississippi River Delta Alluvial GW/SW interaction project.
REMARKS - Sep 28, 2016 to July 02, 2018.  Ground water-level and water-temperature records good.  Missing periods due to instrument malfunctions are not estimated or gap filled.
