LOCATION - Lat 35°09'00.3", long 89°48'22.0" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Shelby County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 08010210, south of Macon Road, 0.6 mi west of Germantown Road, near Memphis. Owner: Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division, City of Memphis.
REVISIONS HISTORY - 2016--On 3-6-2017, the recorded high for period of record from Feb. 3, 2016 to May 5, 2016 was revised and is documented in the report for 2016 http://wdr.water.usgs.gov/wy2016/pdfs/350900089482300.2016.pdf.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 382 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 369 ft, bottom of last opening 382 ft. Drilled artesian observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 330.4 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of 6-inch steel casing, 2.40 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 30, 1940 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1940 to current year. Analog record October 1940 to July 1976, analog to digital (ADR) record July 1976 to May 2006, digital record May 2006 to current year.
GAGE - Periodic measurements by USGS personnel and data collection platform--60-minute interval.
REMARKS - Records good. Water levels in well affected by pumping for municipal and industrial water supply in the Memphis area.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 74.08 ft below land-surface datum, Dec. 27, 1940; lowest recorded, 115.78 ft below land-surface datum, Sept. 2, 2007.
