LOCATION - Lat 36°41'25.74", long 76°01'33.53" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Virginia Beach City, VA, Hydrologic Unit 03010205, at intersection of West Neck Road and Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach. Owner: City of Virginia Beach.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 135 ft. Upper casing diameter 3 in; top of first opening 120 ft, bottom of last opening 130 ft. Drilled water well, screened 120 to 130 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 13.29 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF CASING, 2.24 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 7, 1999 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 1999 to current year. Unpublished records available prior to October 2002 in files of the USGS.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure transducer, 60-minute record interval. Prior to Sept. 28, 2005, occasional measurement with chalked tape by USGS personnel.
REMARKS - Well is located in Yorktown-Eastover aquifer of Miocene-Pliocene age.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 4.45 ft below land-surface datum, Mar. 13, 2015; lowest recorded, 10.66 ft below land-surface datum, Dec. 15, 2007.
