GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 240 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 235 ft, bottom of last opening 240 ft. Drilled observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 60.02 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of inner casing, 2.79 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 6, 2010 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 2010 to current year.
GAGE -
  • Water Year 2016: Records fair. Downgraded due to instrument drift corrections.
  • Water Year 2014-2015: Records good.

    • Water-level measurements by U.S. Geological Survey personnel. Equipped with a digital water-level recorder - 15 minute recording interval, August 2010 to December 2016.
    REMARKS - Well PW-2D - USGS Potomac Aquifer Study at Standard Chlorine, Delaware City. Missing data due to instrument removal during water quality sampling.
    EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water-level measured, -2.58 ft above sea level, May 15, 16, 2011 (recorder); lowest measured, -33.13 ft above sea level, September 15 and 16, 2015 (recorder).
