LOCATION - Lat 41°47'14.0", long 91°18'49.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.28, T.81 N., R.4 W., Cedar County, IA, Hydrologic Unit 07080206, on right bank 10 ft downstream from bridge on County Highway F28 in Cedar Bluff, 1.2 mi downstream from Baldwin Creek, 0.7 mi upstream from Gower Creek, and 52.9 mi upstream from mouth.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Precipitation records from April 2012 to current year. Prior to October 2014, published as "Cedar River at Cedar Bluff, IA."
INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping-bucket rain gage.
REMARKS - Records for water year 2014-2017 rated good except for days during the winter period, which are poor and may be affected by intermittent snow accumulation and subsequent melting.
