50010500 RIO GUAJATACA AT LARES, PR
LOCATION - Lat 18°17'57.13", long 66°52'25.91" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Lares Municipio, PR, Hydrologic Unit 21010002, at bridge on State Road 111, 0.1 mi (0.2 km) upstream from Quebrada AnĂ³n, and 0.4 mi (0.6 km) east of Lares.
DRAINAGE AREA - 3.16 mi². (8.18 km2).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 1959 to February 1962; annual low-flow measurements only, January 1963 to April 1969; monthly measurements only, May 20, 1969 to December 1970, February to May 1971 and March 1974 to November 1989; monthly measurements only, December 19, 1989 to September 30, 2002; continuous discharge. October 1, 2002 to September 30, 2013; monthly measurements only, October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014; continuous discharge. October 1, 2014 to Oct. 1, 2017; gage height only. October 1, 2017 to current year continuous discharge.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage and satellite telemetry at station. Datum of gage is 926.24 ft. (282.3 m) above Puerto Rico Vertical Datum of 2002 (PRVD02). Elevation or datum of gage was previously reported as 940 ft. (286.2 m) above mean sea level and NGVD 29 and was established via topographic map and a new GNSS survey was used to establish a PRVD02 datum because the topographic map datum did not meet the new accuracy requirements.
REMARKS - This site currently is continuous discharge after development of new rating post hurricane Maria.

INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping bucket precipitation gage and data collection platform – 15 minutes interval.
