50043000 RIO DE LA PLATA AT PROYECTO LA PLATA, PR
LOCATION - Lat 18°09'36", long 66°13'44" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Aibonito Municipio, PR, Hydrologic Unit 21010005, at upstream side of bridge on State Road 173, 0.4 mi (0.6 km) northeast of Proyecto La Plata, and 2.5 mi (4 km) upstream from Río Usabón. Water Quality sampling site is located approximately 0.5 mi (0.80 km) upstream from gage, towards the end of Rd. 728.
DRAINAGE AREA - 63.1 mi². (163 km2), includes 8.2 mi² (21.2 km2) upstream from Lago Carite, previously excluded.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Drainage area revised in 2021 based on ArcHydro 2020, more detailed topo map used.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 73,600 ft³/s (2,084 m3/s), January 5, 1992, gage-height, 36.39 ft (11.1 m); minimum daily discharge recorded, 1.2 ft³/s (0.03 m3/s), July 28, 2014.
