It was started prior to the peak flows. The previous rating had reversals and was not a good representation of present stage-discharge relationship at all stages. Recent scour on the lower and intermediate sections presented the need for a new rating. A lower offset of 2.30 ft was used to approximate the lower end as a prominent section conrol is not prevalent at lower stage although the riffle is present, it more resembles combined condtions. The lower rating slope is 1.95. A breakpoint was selected at 3.57 ft where the riffle lower section control becomes submerged as it transitions into channel control. As stage rises, the steep banks and bridge contraction sare the main control features. And offset of 3.00 ft was selected to straighten the intermediate section of the rating. A series of descriptor points were inserted on the upper end to the right as flows break out of the channel and overtop the bank. The upper end was extended to 27.20 ft and 15, 154 cfs via a straight line extension." # //RATING EXPANSION="logarithmic" # //RATING BREAKPOINT1=3.570000E+00 # //RATING OFFSET1=2.300000E+00 OFFSET2=3.000000E+00 # //RATING_INDEP ROUNDING="????"
