STATION.--405356112205601 GSL 3510, 6 MILES WEST OF ANTELOPE ISLAND

LOCATION.----Lat 40 deg. 53' 56", long 112 deg. 20' 56" NAD27, in Davis County,
Hydrologic Unit 16020310, in south arm of Great Salt Lake, about 6 miles west of Antelope Island.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--Seasonal (April-November) beginning April 2014.

INSTRUMENTATION.--Fixed buoy with meteorological sensors including air temperature,
relative humidity, precipitation, wind speed, wind direction, net solar radiation, net
longwave radiation, and water sensors at various depths that measure water temperature
and photosynthetically active radiation. A pressure transducer logs water depth. Data are
logged every 60 seconds. Data uploads to NWIS are sporadic due to relatively weak cell
signal at this location on Great Salt Lake. It may take several days for data to update.
Please contact the USGS at (801) 908-5000 for additional information.

Important Update November 13, 2015: The LakeESP data logger and weather sensors ended up in the lake
between November 7 and November 13, 2015, likely during high winds that occurred November 9. This
equipment was destroyed due to submersion in salt water. The LakeESP will be offline until further notice.

Update June 2, 2016: The LakeESP was redeployed on May 13, 2016. Please note that due to a repair made on the lower portion of the temperature chain, the depth associated with most lower temperature sensors has changed relative to water year 2015.
