LOCATION.--Lat 41°59'45.9", long 74°30'00.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Ulster County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02040104, on right bank 0.3 mi upstream from Pigeon Brook, 0.7 mi upstream from mouth, and 0.8 mi northeast of Frost Valley.
DRAINAGE AREA.--3.72 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--Occasional discharge measurements, water year 1983. June 1983 to current year.
REVISED RECORDS.--WDR NY-91-1: Drainage area. WDR NY-94-1: 1984(P), 1985(M), 1987(P), 1989(P), 1993(P).
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 2,078.02 ft above NGVD of 1929. Prior to Sept. 11, 1987, at datum 6.00 ft higher and prior to Sept. 6, 2011, at datum 5.00 ft higher.
REMARKS.--Records fair except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Satellite gage-height telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, about 1,500 ft3/s, Aug. 28, 2011, gage height, 11.37 ft, present datum, from crest-stage gage, from rating curve extended above 390 ft3/s on basis of runoff comparisons with nearby stations; minimum discharge, 0.24 ft3/s, Sept. 2, 3, 1991, gage height, 5.75 ft, present datum; minimum gage height, 2.20 ft, Aug. 9, 10, Sept. 2, 3, 2012.
