NOTICE (10/01/2009) --As
of September 30, 2009, data collection at this streamgage
has been discontinued due to funding reductions
from partner agencies. Although historic data will remain accessible,
no new data will be collected. Users who can contribute funding for the
non-Federal share of costs to continue operation of this streamgage
should contact the USGS New York Water Science Center . Ward Freeman

LOCATION.--Lat 40°59'16", long 73°53'15"
referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Westchester County, NY,
Hydrologic Unit 02030101, 180 feet from left bank on abandoned Mobil
Oil Corporation platform, 0.5 mi southwest of railroad station, at
Hastings-on-Hudson. Water-quality sampling site at elevation
station.
DRAINAGE AREA.--13,266 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--May 1992 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is NGVD of
1929.
REMARKS.--Prior to October 2002 published as maximum, minimum,
and mean elevation. Elevations are not corrected for changes in water
density. Blanks in tables are the result of only one high or low tide
during a day. Satellite and telephone elevation, temperature, and
specific conductance telemeter at station.
