bank on SR 4001, 0.4 mi upstream from Short Bond Run, 3.5 mi upstream
from mouth and Westport, and 5.0 mi downstream from Alvin R. Bush Dam
(Kettle Creek Lake).
DRAINAGE AREA.--233 square miles.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1954 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage.
Datum of gage is 727.63 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988
from benchmark. Prior to Oct. 14, 1956, nonrecording gage at same site
and datum. Prior to June 24, 2024, the datum of gage was reported as
728.24 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Satellite
telemetry at station.
COOPERATION.--Station established and maintained by
the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station
is provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District,
the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S.
Geological Survey.
REMARKS.--Flow regulated since February 1962 by Alvin
R. Bush Dam.
