LOCATION.--Lat 39`57'42", long
75`48'06", Chester County, Hydrologic Unit 02040205, on left
bank at bridge on SR 15068 at Modena, and 300 ft upstream from Dennis
Run.
DRAINAGE AREA.--55.0 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--January 1970 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage,
water-quality monitor, and climatological sensor. Elevation of gage is
262.52 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Satellite
telemetry at station.
FLOOD STAGE.--NOAA, National Weather Service river
forecast station flood stage provided to USGS April 1999 is 9
feet.
COOPERATION.--Records of diversion provided by the
City of Coatesville. Station established and maintained by the U.S.
Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is
provided by the Chester County Water Resources Authority, Pennsylvania
Department of Environmental Resources, and the U.S. Geological Survey
through the Cooperative Water Program.
REMARKS.-- Water-quality
data collection discontinued during winter months since the 1981 water
year. Other interruptions in the record were due to
malfunctions of the equipment.
