LOCATION.--Lat 39°33'11.6", long 78°33'18.0", Allegany County,  Hydrologic Unit 02070003,
   on right bank at downstream side of  bridge on Pack Horse Road (formerly Oldtown Road), 0.4 mi northeast
   of Maryland State Highway 51, 2.0 mi upstream from mouth of Sawpit Run, 3.0 mi northeast of Oldtown,
   and 4.0 mi upstream from mouth. 
DRAINAGE AREA.--148 mi2
PERIOD OF RECORD.--July 1928 to September 1935, June 1967 to September 1981, May 2001 to June 2005, 
   October 2006 to current year.
REVISED RECORDS.--OFR 95-0292: Drainage area.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 547.97 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.
REMARKS.--U.S. Geological Survey gage-height telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 11,700 ft3/s June 22, 1972,
   gage height, 14.13 ft; minimum discharge, 0.0 ft3/s, no flow Dec. 27, 28, 2001.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD.--Flood of March 17 or 18, 1936, reached a stage of 19.08 ft
   from floodmarks, discharge, 27,000 ft3/s.
