LOCATION.--Lat 42°57'28", long 77°04'06"
referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Ontario County, NY,
Hydrologic Unit 04140201, on right bank 25 ft downstream from bridge on
Eagle Street at Phelps, and 1.1 mi upstream from Canandaigua
Outlet.
DRAINAGE AREA.--102 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1959 to March 1995, June 2002 to
current year.
REVISED RECORDS.--WSP 2112: Drainage area.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 523.14 ft above
NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS.--Records good except those for estimated daily
discharges, which are fair. Small diversion (during periods of low
ground-water level) by Phelps Cement Products, Inc., located about 0.2
mi upstream. Since 1967, flow from Canandaigua Lake diverted into Flint
Creek for municipal supply of village of Gorham; presently not
exceeding 0.3 ft3/s. Telephone and satellite gage-height
telemeters at station.
