LOCATION.--Lat 44° 05'07", long 115° 37'20" (NAD83), in SE1/4 NW1/4 SW1/4
sec.27, T.9 N., R.7 E., Boise County, Lowman quad., Hydrologic Unit 17050120,
Boise National Forest, on right bank 1,200 ft upstream from Rock Creek, 0.5 mi
northwest of Lowman, 4,100 ft downstream from Clear Creek, and at mile 106.
DRAINAGE AREA.--456 mi2. Mean elevation, 6,780 ft.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--May 1941 to current year.
GAGE.--Elevation of gage is 3,790 ft above NGVD of 1929, from river-profile map.
Prior to Dec. 18, 1941, nonrecording gage at site 900 ft upstream at different
datum.
REMARKS.--No regulation. Return flow from several small irrigation diversions
enters river above station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 8,980 ft3/s June 16, 1974,
gage height, 8.36 ft, from floodmark; minimum daily, 130 ft3/s Dec. 31, 1994.
