STATION.--01547700 MARSH CREEK AT BLANCHARD,
PALOCATION.--Lat 41`03'34", long 77`36'22", Centre County, Hydrologic Unit 02050204, on right bank 20 ft downstream from highway bridge on SR 1002, 0.5 mi southwest of Blanchard, 0.6 mi downstream from bridge on State Highway 150, and 0.6 mi upstream from mouth. DRAINAGE AREA.--44.1 mi2. PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1955 to current year. GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 586.16 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to Aug. 31, 1956, nonrecording gage at site 20 ft upstream at same datum. GAGE HEIGHTS OF IMPORTANCE.- Supplied by USGS: Maximum recordable gage height (stage sensor operational limit - 16.0 ft; Data transmitter operational limit - 17.4 ft; Supplied by NWS: No flood stage has been determined for this station. COOPERATION.---Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for this station is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey through the Cooperative Water Program. This station managed by the Williamsport Field Office. |
