The outage of the GOES-13 East satellite that occurred earlier today, which kept USGS Water Data current condition data from being updated, is largely over. Only a few dozen sites, mostly east of the Mississippi River, are still affected.

LOCATION.--Lat 27°13'14", long 81°52'35" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 sec.26, T.37 S., R.24 E., De Soto County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100101, near center of span on downstream side of bridge on State Highway 70, 1.0 mi west of post office in Arcadia, 6.1 mi upstream from Joshua Creek, and 36 mi upstream from mouth. DRAINAGE AREA.--1,367 mi2. PERIOD OF RECORD.--April 1931 to current year. Prior to October 1950, published as Peace Creek at Arcadia. REVISED RECORDS.--WSP 1905: Drainage area. GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 6.00 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to July 19, 1931, nonrecording gage and July 19, 1931, to Sept. 30, 1963, water-stage recorder at site 500 ft upstream at datum 2.25 ft higher; Oct. 1, 1963, to May 16, 2003, at site 500 ft upstream at same datum. |
