LOCATION.--Lat 26°59'04", long 81°56'09" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in
NW 1/4 sec.20, T.40 S., R.24 E., Charlotte County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100101, near left
bank 60 ft upstream from dam, 1.0 mi upstream from Myrtle Slough, 6.0 mi upstream from mouth,
and 7.7 mi northeast of Punta Gorda.
DRAINAGE AREA.--373 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--January 1965 to September 1987; October 1987 to September 1994-
(gage heights only), October 1994 to current year.
REVISED RECORDS.--WDR FL-96-3A: Water year 1995 adjusted CFSM 28.68 and IN 2.11 are in error.
Corrected numbers are CFSM 2.11 and IN 28.68, WDR FL-97-3A: Water year 1996 October adjusted
mean 17.11 and water year maximum 1707 are in error. Corrected numbers are October adjusted
mean 1711 and water year maximum 3720, WDR FL-99-3A: Water year 1998 adjusted mean 1.28 ft3/s,
is in error. Corrected number is 128 ft3/s. WDR-US-2008: Adjusted calendar year 2006
mean 125 ft3/s, CFSM 0.33 and IN 4.55 which were published in WDR-US-2007 are in error.
Corrected numbers are mean 288 ft3/s, CFSM 0.77, and IN 10.50.

The outage of the GOES-13 East satellite that occurred on May 22, 2013 which has kept some USGS Water Data current condition data from being updated is only affecting a few sites presently.
