STATION.--03029000 CLARION RIVER AT RIDGWAY, PA LOCATION.--Lat 41`25'15", long
78`44'10", Elk County, Hydrologic Unit 05010005, at bridge on
State Highway 948 in Ridgway, 300 ft below the mouth of Elk
Creek. DRAINAGE AREA.--303 mi2. PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1940 to current year. GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1,354.88
ft above sea level. REMARKS.--Flow regulated since June, 1952 by East
Branch Clarion River Lake and at low flow by industrial plant above
station. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers satellite telemeter at station.

The 15-minute precipitation data for this station are
temporary and will only be displayed for 120 days. Time series
of 1-hour or cumulative daily values will NOT be available for
retrieval following the 120-day display period. Although the
instrumentation is calibrated at least once a year, the temporary
classification means that documented routine inspections and other
quality assurance measures are not performed that would make the
data acceptable for archival, retrieval, or future use in general
scientific or interpretive studies.
