LOCATION.--Lat 44°55'36", long 91°24'39", in Lot 1, sec.12, T.28 N., R.9 W., Chippewa County, Hydrologic Unit 07050005, on right bank at Chippewa Falls, 1.0 mi downstream from Duncan Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA.--5,650 square miles.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1888 to September 1983, October 1986 to present. Monthly discharge for some periods published in WSP 1308.
REVISED RECORDS.--WSP 785: 1934(M). WSP 1508: 1897, 1905, 1918(M), 1924(M). WDR WI-81-1: Drainage area.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 798.46 ft above sea level. Prior to January 1914, nonrecording gage, and January 1914 to June 19, 1932, water-stage recorder at site 1 mi upstream at different datum. June 19, 1932, to current year, water-stage recorder at present site and datum.
REMARKS.--Considerable regulation by Moose Lake, Lake Chippewa, Rest Lake, Flambeau Flowage, and Lake Wissota Reservoirs. Diurnal fluctuation caused by hydroelectric plant 1.1 mi upstream. Gage-height telemeter at station.
