Station operated in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District

During times of frozen precipitation (freezing rain, sleet, snow), the rain gage is inoperative and inaccurate. As temperatures rise, false indications of precipitation occur from melting.

The National Weather Service flood stage for this site is 21.0 ft.
