    USGS 03206790 EAST FORK TWELVEPOLE CREEK BELOW EAST LYNN DAM

    LOCATION.--Lat 38°08'52", long 82°23'00", NAD 27, Wayne County, 
            Hydorlogic Unit 05090102, on left bank 800 ft downstream from 
            Laurel Creek, 1,700 ft downstream from East Lynn Dam, 1.4 mi 
            south of the town of East Lynn, 2.3 mi upstream from Camp Creek, 
            6.0 mi southeast of the town of Wayne, and at mile 41.7.
    DRAINAGE AREA.--138 mi2.
    PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1962 to September 1982 (measurements, daily mean 
            discharges, and annual maximums), October 1982 to September 1986 
            (measurements, daily mean gage heights, and annual maximums), 
            October 1986 to September 2000 (annual maximums), October 2000 
            to current year (annual maximum gage heights). Prior to October 
            1967 published as "near East Lynn."
    GAGE.--Water-stage recorder with satellite telemeter. Datum of gage is 
            610.00 ft above NGVD 29 (Levels by Corps of Engineers). Prior to  
            Oct. 1, 1981, at datum 10.00 ft lower. Prior to Oct. 1, 1967, 
            water-stage recorder at site 0.7 mi downstream.
    REMARKS.--Flow regulated since March 1972 by East Lynn Lake.
    EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge known since at 
            least 1913, about 13,000 ft3/s Feb. 3, 1939, gage height, 
            about 37 ft datum then in use, from floodmarks, from rating 
            curve based on conveyance-slope study. Flood of Feb. 28, 1962, 
            reached a stage of 36.25 ft datum then in use, from floodmarks, 
            discharge, about 12,000 ft3/s.
