USGS 03058000 WEST FORK R BL STONEWALL JACKSON DAM NR WESTON, WV

LOCATION.--Lat 39°00'16.3", long 80°28'24.1", 
      referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Lewis County, WV, Hydrologic Unit 05020002, 
      on left bank, 500 ft downstream from Stonewall Jackson Dam, 3.0 mi south of Weston, 
      and at mile 73.9.
DRAINAGE AREA.--101 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--August 1946 to September 1984 (daily discharge and peaks, 
      published as West Fork River at Brownsville), October 1984 to September 1990 
      (daily discharge and annual maxima, published as West Fork River at Ben Dale, 03058006), 
      October 1990 to September 1991 (daily discharge and annual maxima), October 2005 to September 2009 
      (annual maximum and minimum gage height), October 2009 to September 2010 
      (daily discharge and annual maxima).
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder with satellite telemeter. Datum of gage is 1,006.13 ft above NAVD 88, 
      corrected, levels by Corps of Engineers. October 1990 to September 1991 at datum of 1,009.42 ft above NAVD 88 
      (VERTCON conversion of 1,009.97 ft above NGVD 29). October 1984 to September 1990 at site 
      1.1 mi downstream at approximate datum of 1,008.05 ft above NAVD 88 
      (VERTCON conversion of 1,008.6 ft above NGVD 29, from topographic map). 
      Nov. 8, 1982 to September 1984 at site 0.3 mi upstream at datum of 1,009.42 ft above NAVD 88 
      (VERTCON conversion of 1,009.97 ft above NGVD 29). Aug. 15, 1949 to Nov. 8, 1982 
      at site 0.3 mi upstream at datum of 1,010.30 ft above NAVD 88 (VERTCON conversion of 1,010.85 ft above NGVD 29). 
      Prior to Aug. 15, 1949, nonrecording gage at site 0.3 mi upstream at datum of 1,010.30 ft above NAVD 88 
      (VERTCON conversion of 1,010.85 ft above NGVD 29).
REMARKS.--Flow regulated since January 1990 by Stonewall Jackson Dam.
PERIOD OF RECORD (WQ).--Water years 1990 to November 1999, July 2005 to current year.
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD (WQ).--SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: May to November 1999, July 2005 to current year.
      pH: May to November 1999, July 2005 to current year.
      WATER TEMPERATURE (separate temperature probe): October 2009 to September 2010.
      WATER TEMPERATURE: May to November 1999, July 2005 to current year.
      DISSOLVED OXYGEN: May to November 1999, July 2005 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION (WQ).--Water-quality monitor May to November 1999, July 2005 to current year. 
      Water-quality monitor currently operated April to December. Separate temperature probe installed 
      Feb. 2008 operated year round.
