- For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
- For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.

LOCATION - Lat 37°32'32", long 103°55'55" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.05, T.29 S., R.58 W., Las Animas County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 11020010, on Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site approximately 100 ft north of Military Supply Road 1, 5.8 mi east of Pipeline Road, 6.7 mi southeast of Houghton, and 37 mi southwest of La Junta.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1983 to October 1998, March 1999 to November 2013, May 2014 to November 2020 (discontinued) Air Temperature: October 2012 to March 2021 (discontinued). Site was part of a hydrologic study 1983-92, data published elsewhere.
INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping-bucket rain gage and air temperature sensor with satellite telemetry. Elevation of gage is 5,200 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD -
Maximum daily precipitation, 5.85 inches, Aug. 6, 2018.
Maximum instantaneous air temperature, 39.3 deg C, June 24, 2012. Minimum instantaneous air temperature, -28.9 deg C, Feb. 15, 2021.
REMARKS - Water year 2014; records during the period November through February, and estimated daily precipitation, are less accurate than the rest of the published records. Water year 2015; records during the period Nov. 25 to May 22, are less accurate than the rest of the published records.
