LOCATION.--Lat 38°36'35.4", long. 75°04'04.8", Sussex County, DE, Hydrologic Unit 02040303, located
at the Indian River Coast Guard Station, 0.2 mi west of State Highway 1, 0.3 mi northwest of the
Indian River Inlet, and 4.9 mi north of Bethany Beach.
DRAINAGE AREA.--Not determined.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1988 to June 1989, April 1991 to December 2010, November 2011 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 0.00 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 using tidal
bench mark "8690M 1980". Bench mark elevation was based on the Time Period of 1977-1986, Tidal Epoch years of
1983-2001, and Control Tide Station at Ft. Miles in Lewes, Delaware. Prior to October 1, 2014, at datum
0.78 ft higher (0.00 ft. above NGVD29, using tidal bench mark "8690M 1980").
REMARKS.--This is a tidal station. Discharge is not determined at this location. U.S. Geological
Survey satellite data-collection platform at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum elevation, 6.51 ft, datum then in use, Oct. 29, 2012;
