  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

LOCATION - Lat 25°15'51.16", long 80°25'12.66" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in T.59 S., R.39 E., Miami-Dade County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, located approximately 300 ft upstream of mouth, 9.5 mi north of Key Largo.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-US-2009, site 251549080251200; Revised maximum negative discharge for the period of record. WDR-US-2010, site 251549080251200; Revised figures of discharge for 2008, 2009 water years.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2003 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite data collection platform with acoustic stage transducer, acoustic Doppler velocity meter. Datum of gage is North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD 88).
REMARKS - Streamflow at this site is significantly affected by astronomical tides. Daily mean discharge was computed from filtered unit value discharge data. The Godin low-pass filter was used to remove principal tidal frequencies from unit values. Positive flow (ebb tide) is generally to the south and negative discharge (flood tide) to the north. Discharge and gage height records, are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey. Discharge and gage height 15 minute data can also be accessed online at http://sofia.usgs.gov/. Daily values are available online at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - DISCHARGE: Maximum positive discharge, 2,480 ft³/s (unfiltered) Oct. 24, 2005; maximum negative, 1,780 ft³/s (unfiltered) Oct. 24, 2005. GAGE HEIGHT: Maximum gage height, 4.06 ft Sept. 10, 2017; (REVISED); minimum, -1.96 ft Oct. 24, 2005
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - SALINITY (TOP): October 2003 to August 2006. Discontinued. SALINITY (BOTTOM): October 2003 to September 2011. Discontinued. SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE (BOTTOM): October 2010 to September 2011. Discontinued. WATER TEMPERATURE (TOP): October 2003 to August 2006. Discontinued. WATER TEMPERATURE (BOTTOM): October 2003 to September 2011. Discontinued.
REMARKS - Prior to September 1, 2010 salinity was computed directly from specific conductance using a conversion within the continuous water quality monitor. From September 1, 2010 to September 2011, salinity is computed from corrected specific conductance data using a rating in the NWIS database. During periods of missing record, values may be higher or lower than the listed extremes. Salinity and water temperature records are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey. Salinity and water temperature 15 minute data can also be accessed online at http://sofia.usgs.gov/. Daily values of salinity and water temperature are available online at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis. Discrete water quality data are available online at http://nwis.waterdata.usgs.gov/fl/nwis/qw
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - SALINITY (TOP): Maximum recorded, 44.7 ppt July 18, 2004; minimum recorded, 0.1 ppt Sept. 5, 2004. SALINITY (BOTTOM): Maximum recorded, 45.5 ppt May 12, 13, 15, 2009; minimum recorded, 2.3 ppt Oct. 1, 2010. SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE (BOTTOM): Maximum recorded, 62,800 uS/cm @25°C June 20, 2011; minimum recorded, 4,300 uS/cm@25°C Oct. 1, 2010.
