LOCATION - Lat 25°38'16.8", long 80°30'43.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.14, T.55 S., R.38 E., Miami-Dade County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, on SW 197th Avenue, 70 ft north of 136 Street (Howard Drive), 2 mi west of State Road 997 (Krome Avenue), and 15.5 mi north of Homestead.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 16 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 11 ft, bottom of last opening 16 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 8 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of shelf, installed June 30, 1949, 9.1 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jun. 30, 1949 to Nov. 26, 1986; Top of base, 10.59 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Nov. 26, 1986 to Oct. 1, 1990; Top of shelf, 10.62 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 1, 1990 to Oct. 21, 1992; Top of shelf, 10.45 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 22, 1992 to Sep. 2, 1994; Top of flange, 10.76 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Sep. 2, 1994 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 30, 1949 to November 1986 (original site), November 1986 to current year.

REMARKS - The figures of water levels as elevation, in ft NGVD, prior to October 1978 are in error. Corrected records are in files of the U.S. Geological Survey. Current well is a replacement well, drilled 250 ft east of original site and surveyed on November 21, 1986. Data for this well is published under the original well name and station ID number. The station at the current site was destroyed and reconstructed October 22, 1992 and September 2, 1994. Records of water levels prior to January 1957 are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 8.48 ft NGVD, Oct. 31, 1960; lowest measured, 1.30 ft NGVD, Apr. 29, 1971.
