LOCATION - Lat 37°43'50", long 83°03'29" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Magoffin County, KY, Hydrologic Unit 05100101, on left bank on downstream side of bridge on State Highway 1090, 0.9 miles southeast of Salyersville, 2.2 miles upstream from Burning Fork and at mile 272.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 107 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

The maximum discharge for water year 2002 has been revised to 2,630 ft³/s, May 3, gage height 14.92 feet.

Datum of gage was previously reported as 840.0 ft above NGVD of 1929.  This datum was revised on Nov 29, 2022.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2001 to September 2004. October 2008 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder.  Datum is 840.11 feet above NAVD of 1988 and 840.74 ft above NGVD of 1929.
COOPERATION - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District and the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet.
REMARKS - Water use by city of Salyersville is evident at times during low discharge periods.
