03290080 KENTUCKY RIVER AT LOCK 3 AT GEST, KY
LOCATION - Lat 38°25'00", long 84°52'51" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Henry County, KY, Hydrologic Unit 05100205, on left bank 200 ft landward from Lock 3 at Gestville, 0.2 mile upstream from Cedar Creek, 2.0 miles downstream from Balls Branch, and at mile 42.
DRAINAGE AREA - 5,983 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 2012 to current. 
GAGE - Fixed weir dam with water-stage recorder, Raingage, and crest stage gage. Upper Pool Datum is 445.29 feet above NAVD of 1988 and 445.70 ft above NGVD of 1929.
COOPERATION - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District and the Kentucky River Authority.
REMARKS - Flow regulated since November 1925 by Herrington Lake (station 03286000), since December 1960 by Buckhorn Lake (station 03280800), since January 1976 by Carr Fork Lake (station 03277446), and by hydroelectric plant at Lock 7.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD -

Maximum discharge 97,600 ft^3/s on Mar 5, 2021 (Estimated).  Maximum Gage Height 39.61 feet, Mar 5, 2021.

Minimum discharge 105 ft^3/s on Oct 6, 2019.
