03383000 TRADEWATER RIVER AT OLNEY, KY
LOCATION - Lat 37°13'26", long 87°46'50" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Caldwell County, KY, Hydrologic Unit 05140205, on left bank at downstream side of bridge on State Highway 1220 at Olney, 0.9 miles upstream from Cave Creek, 5.4 miles downstream from Flynn Creek, 9.5 miles northeast of Princeton, and at mile 72.7.
DRAINAGE AREA - 255 mi² of which 9 mi² probably is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Datum of gage was previously reported as 362.8 ft above NGVD of 1929.  This datum was revised on Nov 23, 2022.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1940 to May 1984. March 1985 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with telemetry. Datum is 361.45 feet above NAVD of 1988 and 361.74 ft above NGVD of 1929. Prior to July 31, 1942, nonrecording gage at same site and datum.
COOPERATION - Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of January 1937 reached a stage of 19.27 feet, from floodmarks, discharge, 17,000 ft³/s, by slope-area measurement from U.S. Army Corp of Engineers.
