The streamgaging station, Plum Island River at Plum Island, MA (42475200491701), was discontinued October 1, 2017 due to insufficient funds. This station has operated continuously since August 2015 and has provided river stage and discharge data to numerous Federal, State, and local water-management agencies to monitor and manage water resources.

If any Federal, State or local agencies are interested in providing the additional funds needed to continue operation of this streamflow gaging station, please contact Richard Verdi, Chief of Hydrologic Surveillance, New England Water Science Center (508-490-5064).
