The streamgaging station, Plum Island River at Plum Island, MA (42475200491701), was discontinued October 1, 2017 due to insufficient funds. This station has operated continuously since August 2015 and has provided river stage and discharge data to numerous Federal, State, and local water-management agencies to monitor and manage water resources.

DRAINAGE AREA--62.7 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD--December 2007 to current year.
GAGE--Data Collection Platform with stage sensors for Mystic River and Boston Harbor.
REMARKS--Frequent stage fluctuations are due to gate changes, lock operations, and pumping when necessary, at Amelia Earhart Dam.
