The streamgaging station, Plum Island River at Plum Island, MA (42475200491701), was discontinued October 1, 2017 due to insufficient funds. This station has operated continuously since August 2015 and has provided river stage and discharge data to numerous Federal, State, and local water-management agencies to monitor and manage water resources.

01090001, on left bank 200 ft downstream from Miller Styles Road in
Quincy and 0.8 mi upstream from Town River Bay.
DRAINAGE AREA--4.11 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD--Water years 1972-86, 1999 to current year.
GAGE--Data Collection Platform with telephone telemeter.
REMARKS--Flows affected by frequent cyclical sump-pump discharges from nearby MBTA station. High flows affected by diversion to by-pass tunnel at site approximately one mile upstream.
