The streamgaging station, Plum Island River at Plum Island, MA (42475200491701), was discontinued October 1, 2017 due to insufficient funds. This station has operated continuously since August 2015 and has provided river stage and discharge data to numerous Federal, State, and local water-management agencies to monitor and manage water resources.

interested in providing the additional funds needed to continue operation of
this streamflow gaging station,

left bank, upstream side of Route 122 bridge, Uxbridge.
DRAINAGE AREA--244 mi2.

GAGE--Data Collection Platform with satellite telemeter. Elevation of gage, about 200 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS--Records not yet rated. Flow affected by regulation from upstream dams and ponds.
