The streamgaging station, Plum Island River at Plum Island, MA (42475200491701), was discontinued October 1, 2017 due to insufficient funds. This station has operated continuously since August 2015 and has provided river stage and discharge data to numerous Federal, State, and local water-management agencies to monitor and manage water resources.

01090005, on right bank 10 ft downstream from Beaver River Bridge on
State Highway 138 in Richmond, 1.2 mi southwest of Usquepaug, 3.3 mi
north of Kenyon, and 3.6 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA--9.22 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD--December 1974 to current year.
GAGE--Data Collection Platform with satellite telemeter. Datum of gage is 107.68 ft above sea level.
