The streamgaging station, Plum Island River at Plum Island, MA (42475200491701), was discontinued October 1, 2017 due to insufficient funds. This station has operated continuously since August 2015 and has provided river stage and discharge data to numerous Federal, State, and local water-management agencies to monitor and manage water resources.

interested in providing the additional funds needed to continue operation of

right bank at upstream side of Turner Street Bridge, 0.2 mi upstream
from Bailey Brook, 0.8 mi southeast of Otter River, and 2 mi northwest
DRAINAGE AREA--34.1 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD--Discharge: December 1964 to current year.
