The streamgaging station, Plum Island River at Plum Island, MA (42475200491701), was discontinued October 1, 2017 due to insufficient funds. This station has operated continuously since August 2015 and has provided river stage and discharge data to numerous Federal, State, and local water-management agencies to monitor and manage water resources.

interested in providing the additional funds needed to continue operation of

bank 0.5 mi upstream from bridge on West Leyden Road and 2.5 mi
northeast of Colrain.
DRAINAGE AREA--41.4 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD--Discharge: October 1967 to current year.
Water-quality records: Water years 1968–69, 1993–95.
REVISED RECORDS--WDR MA-NH-RI-VT-71-1: 1968(M), 1969.
GAGE--Data Collection Platform with satellite telemeter. Elevation of gage is 432.26 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
