The streamgaging station, Plum Island River at Plum Island, MA (42475200491701), was discontinued October 1, 2017 due to insufficient funds. This station has operated continuously since August 2015 and has provided river stage and discharge data to numerous Federal, State, and local water-management agencies to monitor and manage water resources.

interested in providing the additional funds needed to continue operation of

23’24", Norfolk County, Hydrologic Unit 01090001, on right
bank at upstream side of Walker Street bridge at intersection with
Populatic Street, 0.5 mi east of Medway.
DRAINAGE AREA--65.7 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD--November 1997 to current year.
GAGE--Data Collection Platform with satellite telemeter. Datum of gage is 175 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS-- Flow affected by upstream withdrawals for municipal supplies.
COOPERATION BY--Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Office of Water Resources.
