LOCATION.--Lat 39°44'09.9", long 75°32'26.0", New Castle County, DE, Hydrologic Unit 02040205, on left bank of Christina River, on bulkhead at City of Wilmington Fire Station Number 7, 300 ft downstream of highway bridge (Christina Ave.), 0.7 mi upstream of Brandywine Creek, and 2.5 mi upstream of mouth. DRAINAGE AREA.--Not determined. PERIOD OF RECORD.--April 2006 to current year. GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 0.00 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to October 1, 2015, at datum 1.12 ft higher. REMARKS.-This is a tidal station. Discharges are not determined at this location. U.S. Geological Survey satellite data-collection platform at station. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum elevation, 8.28 ft, datum then in use, October 30, 2012; minimum elevation -5.32 ft, datum then in use, March 6, 2007. COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Delaware Geological Survey.

9/9/2016 - Notice to users - Beginning 10/1/2015, water level data at this site have been recomputed to reference the data to NAVD88 datum. In order to convert historical water level data, which is stored in NGVD29 datum, to the current datum, users must apply the -1.12 ft. datum adjustment for this location. The datum adjustment is based on the published elevation of NGS mark PID JU1473.
