USGS 01589180 GWYNNS FALLS AT GLYNDON, MD

NOTICE (9/11/2018) --Due to funding reductions, data collection at this streamgage will be discontinued March 1, 2019. Although historical data will remain accessible, no new data will be collected unless one or more new funding partners are found. Users who would like to contribute to the non-Federal share of costs to continue operation of this streamgage should contact Ed Doheny of the USGS Maryland-Delaware-DC Water Science Center (Phone: 443-498-5535, Email: ejdoheny@usgs.gov).

LOCATION.--Lat 39°28'18.1", long 76°49'00.8", Baltimore County, Hydrologic Unit 02060003, 
   on left bank, 375 ft downstream from bridge on Chatsworth Avenue, 125 ft southeast of Wabash Avenue, 
   in the town of Glyndon, and 0.9 mi northeast of Reisterstown.
DRAINAGE AREA.--0.32 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1998 to current year.
REVISED RECORDS.--WDR-US-2005: 1999-2004.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 642.45 ft above North American 
   Vertical Datum of 1988. 
REMARKS.--Occasional pumpage from unknown sources may affect discharges. U.S. Geological Survey 
   satellite data-collection platform at station. Water-quality records for some prior periods have
   been collected at this location.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 323 ft³/s, Sept. 7, 2011, gage height, 3.75 ft;
   minimum discharge, 0.00 ft³/s, no flow at times in 1999, 2001, 2002, 2005-08, 2010-12, 2015, 2016.
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the National Science 
   Foundation's Long-Term Ecological Research Network, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration 
   through the Center for Urban Environmental Research and Education, University of Maryland Baltimore County,
   and the U.S. Geological Survey.
