The USGS operates the following groundwater sites in cooperation with the Upper Sioux Community to monitor groundwater flow in aquifers on Community trust land. These data will be used to understand the interactions of groundwater in different aquifers and with surface waters, to understand the effects of this interaction on environmental resources around trust land, and to manage drinking-water from the aquifers.
