04021520 STONEY BROOK AT PINE DRIVE NEAR BROOKSTON, MN
LOCATION - Lat 46°46'54", long 92°38'12" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.28, T.50 N., R.18 W., St. Louis County, MN, Hydrologic Unit 04010201, on right bank 275ft. upstream from box type culvert at County Road 851 (Pine Drive) and 6.8 mi southwest of Brookston.
REVISIONS HISTORY - 2012 WY Gage height  and discharge peak- Revised to recorded peak with corresponding discharge. 
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May to November 2005, April 2006 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 1,278.11 ft. above sea level NAVD88.
COOPERATION - This site was operated (2019 - present) by the U.S. Geological Survey as a discrete water-quality sampling and streamflow site for the USGS St. Louis River Peatland Restoration / Mercury (GLRI) study. The USGS St. Louis River Peatland Restoration / Mercury (GLRI) study was a collaborative study between the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa (FDL) and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by a series of lakes used for wild rice production upstream of station.

Record considered fair, except for those estimated daily discharges which are poor.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1,170 ft³/s, gage-height 12.36 ft, June 21, 2012; maximum daily-mean discharge, 1,120 ft³/s, June 21, 2012; minimum discharge, 0.08 ft³/s, Aug. 24, 2008.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Discrete water-quality samples were collected periodically from Sept. 19, 2019 to the present.
