  • June 23, 2019 -- The USGS is currently unable to acquire regularly transmitted data from a subset of gages nationwide. We are actively working to restore the interruption in service, which is impacting approximately 200 sites across the country. A follow up message will be posted when the problem has been resolved.

Updated September 21, 2018 - USGS water-resources monitoring will continue with partner funds and USGS Cooperative Matching Funds at the following site: USGS water-resources monitoring will be discontinued at the following sites effective October 1, 2018:
  • 06024540 Big Hole R bel Mudd Cr nr Wisdom, MT (seasonal water temperature)
  • 06308400 Pumpkin Cr nr Miles City, MT (annual streamflow, water temperature, and sampling)
USGS monitoring activities at these sites were funded by partner agencies. Lack of partner funding for these sites resulted in discontinuation of all streamgaging activities.

The statistics generated from this site are based on approved daily-mean data and may not match those published by the USGS in official publications. The user is responsible for assessment and use of statistics from this site. For more details on why the statistics may not match, click here.
