The Ground-Water database contains ground-water site inventory, ground-water level data, and water-quality data. Additional ground-water information for New Jersey is available at the New Jersey Water Science Center web page. This page includes geologic maps, a description of the aquifers in New Jersey, and references to selected ground-water reports. The ground-water site inventory consists of more than 5,500 records of wells and test holes in New Jersey. Available site descriptive information includes well location information (latitude and longitude, well depth, site use, water use, and aquifer.) The USGS annually monitors ground-water levels in thousands of wells in the United States. In New Jersey long-term water-level data is available from more than 300 wells that are or have been part of our state-wide water-level observation network. Information on the water-level monitoring network including a map of site and a list of wells is available on the NJ Water Science Center home page. Water-levels are also available from project work and from a regional study that measures water-levels at more than 800 wells in confined Coastal Plain aquifers every 5 years. |
