SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

LOCATION.--Lat 40°17'42", long 74°52'05" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Hopewell Township, Mercer County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02040105, at Bridge on Washington Crossing/Pennington Road, 0.3 mi west of Washington Crossing (NJ), 0.8 mi south east of Titusville, and 3 mi upstream of Interstate 95 Bridge crossing the Delaware River.
DRAINAGE AREA.--6,735 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD.--Annual maximum gage, water years 1903, 1936-61, 2005-06. Continuous-record gage-height station, water years 2011 to current year.
REVISIONS HISTORY.--Revisions prior to water year 2014 available from Water Data Reports (WDR) listed as follows: WDR US-2012: 2011(M). Revisions made in Water Year 2014 and 2015 can be obtained using this link.
GAGE.--Water-stage and precipitation recorder with telemetry. Datum of gage is 25.18 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to 2011, annual peak gage-heights are maximum of hourly readings by Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission. Datum of gage between 1903 to 1961, 0.14 ft above NGVD of 1929.
COOPERATION.--Gage operated in cooperation with the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.
REMARKS.--Annual peak data can be obtained by selecting Peak streamflow from the 'Available data for this site' drop-down menu above or by using this link.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum gage height, 27.77 ft, Aug 20, 1955.
