SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

LOCATION.--Lat 40°56'10.4", long 74°38'23.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Morris County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02040105, 0.30 mi southeast of Pickerel Point, 0.55 mi south of Elba Point, and 0.80 mi northeast of Bertrand Island.   
DRAINAGE AREA.--25.3 mi².

WATER-QUALITY RECORDS

REMARKS.--Lake is formed by concrete spillway and earthfill dam completed about 1828. Crest of spillway was lowered 0.11 ft in 1925. Lake is used for recreation and regulated by four gates (3 by 5 ft), also by one 24-inch pipe with gate valve to recreation fountain 250 ft downstream from dam.
