LOCATION.--Lat 41°03'31", long 74°05'44"
referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Bergen County, NJ,
Hydrologic Unit 02030103, on right bank, 100 ft downstream of bridge on
Lake Street in Upper Saddle River, 1.3 mi downstream from Pine Brook,
and 2.8 mi east of Ramsey.
DRAINAGE AREA.--10.9 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD.--Continuous-record discharge station, October
2003 to current year. Annual maximum gage and low-flow partial-record
station, 1966 to 2003.
REVISIONS HISTORY.--WDR-US-08: 1988(M), 1993(M).
GAGE.--Water-stage and air temperature recorder with telemetry,
crest-stage gage, and concrete control. Datum of gage is 185.16 ft
above NGVD of 1929. Prior to October 2003, partial-record station at
site 100 ft upstream from gage, at datum 0.95 ft higher.
REMARKS.--Records fair, except for estimated discharges, which
are poor. Flows at this gage may be affected by groundwater pumping
nearby and upstream in New York State.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 6,290 ft³/s,
Sep 16, 1999, gage height, 5.64 ft, from crest-stage gage, site and
datum then in use; minimum discharge, 0.38 ft³/s, Sep 8, 2015.
