  • January 22, 2018 - USGS Water Data availability during lapse in Federal funding

    Due to a lapse in Federal funding, the U.S. Geological Survey must suspend those parts of its data collection and distribution processes requiring human intervention. However, automated reporting and serving of telemetered data will continue.

    Users may note some degradation in the quality and completeness of real-time streamflow, groundwater and water-quality data from some reporting stations due to the suspension of field calibrations and adjustments, especially as high flows occur, aquatic vegetation becomes dominant, or ice forms in high altitude streams. The USGS will continue to monitor some performance aspects of its network using a skeleton workforce.

LOCATION.--Lat 40°50'36", long 75°02'47" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, White Township, Warren County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02040105, on right bank 2,000 ft upstream from mouth, 1.1 mi northwest of Bridgeville, and 2.0 mi northeast of Belvidere.
DRAINAGE AREA.--36.7 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--Continuous-record discharge station, May 1922 to October 1961, June 2003 to current year. Annual maximum and minimum, water years 1963-65, and annual maximum, water years 1966-95.
REVISED RECORDS.--WSP 781: Drainage area. WSP 1432: 1923, 1924(M), 1928, 1931(M), 1934(M).
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder with telemetry. Datum of gage 303.36 ft above NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS.--Records good, except for estimated discharges, which are fair.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 2,400 ft3/s, Aug 28, 2011, gage height, 6.33 ft; minimum discharge, 0.30 ft3/s, minimum discharge recorded during period September 18-30, 1964.
